Flash Gels

Fire & Ice can be found from reader images in Digital SLR Photography magazine April 2014 issue as an example of using flash gels.

Back to Back

It’s always those little things
Ones that seem not matter
But they always do

Unspoken things you can’t notice
Too small worth to mention
Perhaps only to you

It’s always those little things
Secrets you wish to keep
Remaining untold

Some forgiven, none forgotten
Dwelling on the thoughts
Midwinter’s cold

Back to back
One last chance to turn around
To keep away from the killing ground
Where the worlds are bound to collide

Back to back
You still mean a world to me
I only wish I could make you see
How proud I am to have you by my side

For the sake of our lives
I cannot live worlds apart
For the sake of our lives
I can’t survive worlds apart

Back to back
Plastered with some warning signs
A minefield of words as enemy lines
Is it peace or war we ought to make

Back to back
Trespassers may get shot
Then again, you are all I’ve got
The chance I will just have to take

Although I don’t usually shoot basic headshots I wanted to test couple of techniques and ended up shooting one. HDR and people don’t usually work together but there seems to be a way to use HDR for people too: PhotoshopUserTV: HDR Toning Tricks – Episode 371. Another tutorial I wanted to try was this: Color Grade Like A Pro. Good and easy to follow tutorial for color grading.

2nd Greek Photographic Circuit

FIAP Gold for The Individual from 2nd Greek Photographic Circuit – Crete, Greece. This was a successful circuit for the local camera club since JP Palmunen also got PSA Gold from the same Circuit.

Jan-Peter asked me if I would like to do a small photo battle. I immediately said yes. We selected Jason theme and went to the camera club studio. We both had our own ideas and we photographed bunch of photos for further editing. And now we are proudly to present the results:

Christmas Present

It’s always hard to find christmas present for my parents. Last christmas I gave them a card where I promised a portrait of them. Handmade gift, so to speak.
