I haven’t done anything for the camera club monthly theme for a while so I thought that since it’s the last theme for the year I could do something. Theme is “Black and White” (meaning necessarily a monochrome image). First image is a yin and yang autoportrait where I used large octabox for a background. Easiest way to make pure white background. Second image is a composite inspired by Hengki Lee. For the Kleinbus I used a small model car and for the man, myself (naturally).
And the remaining images for the series…
First images from the “Broken Doll” photoshoot. Idea for this shoot came from Merja, an another camera club member. She has access to this farm and has worked with Kiki before. Kiki wanted to do a bit darker images so she suggested if I wanted to do the shoot. It’s no secret that I like to walk on the dark side at least what comes to the pictures so I was ready for the job. This was my first shoot with the new Godox AD200 (trigger arrived the day before the shoot) and I’m pretty happy with the purchase. They worked nicely and there was plenty of juice left after many hours of shooting.
Everyday, behind a mask. Who am I today? First I thought that I hang these mask on a grey background but then I thought that it’s easier to photograph them lying on grey paper. Simple one light setup with beauty dish that could be done anywhere.
