The LIRC receiver itself is build to the 5×6 hole test board (13mm x 18mm). It’s then placed to the cockpit of the TIE fighter. For TIE fighter model I used AMT/ERTL Imperial TIE fighters model kit #8438. Kit contains a stand and two fighters which other one is used for this receiver. Stand for the model is self made from a piece of wood and aluminum tube. It has 12m (about 40 feet) cable to connect to the computer sitting at the another side of the room.
