I regularly visit Tampere to see my friend. Usually we enjoy various cultural activities. This time it was heavy metal band Accept and photo exhibition “Pekka Luukkola: Maiseman aika – Sense of Time” in art museum of Tampere. I must say that both were excellent. Old men have still quite a kick in their playing and Pekka Luukkola’s big aluminium prints were just amazing.
I also visited The Finnish Labour Museum Werstas which has steam engine museum. It’s the biggest steam engine used in Finland and it powered the Finlayson factory in early 1900. It had 1650 horse power and massive over 8m diameter flywheel.
